This is a very useful article (masah alal khuffain). I would like you to expand on this a little further if it is possible. There are brothers who sipe on thin socks and say that it is permissable as Prophet SAW did not make any restrictions. In short, I have tried explain to them the logic behind the conditions that are stipulated ie. through Ijtihaad and Qiyaas, and through Ulema studying the situation and that some opinions (ie Ibn Taymiyyah) are not credible etc. However, they fail to undertsand and keep saying show evidence to say that it is not permissable to wipe on thin socks. Similar goes for Khutbahs in English (with Arabic mix). Can you please help? May Allah reward you for you efforts. Juzakamullah khair. Assalamulaykum.
