The Etiquettes of Asking Questions

Before submitting any question to Shaykh Abdul Raheem hafizahullah through Tafseer Raheemi, please read the following important points.

  1. There is no substitute for reading and increasing your knowledge thereby; if you have one question answered today, you may have two more questions tomorrow. Increasing your knowledge will equip you to deal with day-to-day queries. I recommend Bahishti Zewar and Ta’leem al-Haq. You may find Ta’leem al-Haq on www.inter-islam.org
  2. The best way to ask a question is in person. You will be able to acquaint your local Imam, Alim, or Aapaa with your situation far better in person. They will also be in a position to respond quicker and give you advice rather than merely issue a Fatwa.
  3. Please do not ask questions pertaining to political matters.
  4. Please think carefully before asking a question. “A good question is half the answer.”
  5. You should ask a question with ikhlas (sincerity) that is, with an intention to learn and act upon what you have been advised.
  6. Please check the website to ascertain if a question similar to yours has already been answered. There is a search engine expressly for this purpose. Type the topic to which your question pertains or a keyword eg. ‘divorce’ and click ‘Search’.
