  1. It depends on which madrasah you go to – the average is 6-8 years.
  2. No, you can become an aalim without being hafiz.
  3. The six hadith books are:
    Bukhari
    Muslim
    Abu Dawood
    Nasaai
    Tirmizi
    Ibn Majah.
  4. Yes.
  5. Yes, you can.
  6. It’s farze kifayah, like salatul janazah, therefore those who become aalims are fulfilling the farze kifayah of the whole community.
